Hey all,

I was wondering if it would be possible (to be consistent) to allow HTML in QN's and private mail?

I agree about private mail but i don't see the point in quicknotes. Like somebody is going to do all this work typing a good html command for a link or anything else only to be shown termporarily or even at all if somebody doesn't get it.
Quicknotes are for chat. I don't think html works in programmes like msn messenger or when you text chat with skype so quicknotes are the same. But in private meail they might work already.
When we got a private message from the stuff after we went in the top 10 for zone icon there was a link to download ventrilo and to the voice chat page in the actual message.

The html that can be used in the boards can also be used in private mail. I don't see the point of supporting this in quick notes.

i do. it would be useful to give the computer illiterate people who might be interested in a link easy access without them having to do all this nonsense. They can just click on the link, and it will open in a new window. If not true html, just have it to where if a link is posted, it will automatically be an actual link.

I agree with Blake. There are some of us here who know HTML, and we'd like to use it in our QN's, especially if we want to make a link. My advice is this: If you want to make a link open in a new window, the attribute text that could be used is this:
< a target="top" href="..." > < /a >

We use to have HTML in quicknotes, but they disabled it cause people were abusing it. I don't see what's wrong with copying a URL from the quicknote.

I'm in agreement with KT. What's so difficult about copying and pasting a link, even if you are computer illiterate? If that's all you want HTML in QN's for, it seems like a waste of effort. But that's just me.

I could think of some other uses for HTML--and I'm going to use some right now.
